I had a blast serving as CG Supervisor for Porsche’s first Super Bowl spot in 25 years. I led Carbon Chicago’s CG & Nuke teams in achieving 18 VFX shots on a tight deadline with minimal fuss and, happily on a project of this nature, no client revisions. My favorite part of the job was shading, lighting, and comping the “Easter Egg” car that Porsche wanted to feature but could not film practically without risk of exposure ahead of its upcoming launch. Our fully digital car was shown only briefly in the final film but still managed to elicit huge reactions from Porsche fans who enjoyed scrutinizing every pixel of the car
